Diwali and Children's Day which happened to be on the same day this year,
were celebrated with a great gusto and fervour at Salwan Public School.
Online Celebrations comprised a bunch of exhilarating activities which not
only engaged the students productively, but also spread the message of a
cracker free Green Diwali. The four - day celebrations commenced on 9th
November, as students from Classes I to IX, XI unleashed their creative
potential by engaging themselves in myriad art activities like Card and Diya
Making, Lantern Making, Lentils Painting, Mask Making to name a few.
Adding sanctity to the festivity, tiny tots from the Montessori recited an abridged version of the Ramayana, spreading the message of victory of good over evil. Students were also apprised of the hazards of bursting firecrackers and were suggested multiple alternate ways to celebrate this auspicious festival. They were urged to act responsibly and be sensitive towards their environment and the safety of animals.
Multifarious fun filled online activities were planned to celebrate the day marking childhood. The classes buzzed with excitement and laughter. The teachers stepped into the shoes of the students and put up a fabulous show exhibiting their love and affection for them. The highlight of the programme was a scintillating song and dance performance, 'An Ode to Our Students' which left everyone mesmerised. Teachers also recited their self-composed poems. A short presentation on Online Classes made the young ones chortle with glee. The culmination of the programme was the icing on the cake, as students got an opportunity to showcase their talent in front of their classmates. They acted, sang, danced, played games, and made memories to cherish forever.
