Earth Day Assembly

Earth Day was celebrated by young Salwanians in a special assembly on 22^nd April 2024. Class VIII paid a tribute to Mother Earth on the 54^th anniversary of Earth Day. The theme for this year is ‘Planet vs Plastics.’

‘Planet vs. Plastics’ urges us to raise awareness about the health risks posed by plastics, eliminate single-use plastics rapidly, advocate for a robust UN Treaty on Plastic Pollution, and call for an end to fast fashion. It’s a “Now or Never” moment, demanding swift action from all of us.

Students delivered a thought-provoking presentation on various aspects of plastic pollution. They also performed street plays and presented inspirational songs, urging everyone to refrain from using single-use plastics.
