To enable pre-reading and pre-writing skills, Montessori apparatus is used extensively. Co-Scholastic

Physical Development (Gross and Fine Motor Skills)

Childhood is associated with lot of energy and bubbling enthusiasm. During these early years, the children need a lot of activities for the optimum growth and development. The learning environment, both indoors and outdoors, provides the children with stimulating and challenging learning opportunities to develop their coordination and control through daily warming-up exercises, free-play, sand play aerobics, gymnastics, adventure sports, yoga and skating. The school uses Physical Education Cards recommended by CBSE in the sports curriculum. The P.E.C cards are a focussed and structured approach for delivering physical education in pre-primary classes. They aim to build a healthy and fit generation by initiating a trend of joyful learning.

Visual Arts

Children are fascinated by colours, painting, drawing, creating, moulding and crafting. They are encouraged to explore sound, colour, texture, shape, form and space in two and three dimensions. Children are prompted to reflect upon their thoughts and emotions through their choices of colour and texture.

Performing Arts

The focus is on understanding the elements of music, learning songs and rhymes, using instruments and express themselves through music and dance.

Inclusive Education

“A child is like a butterfly in the wind.
Each one is different, each one is special, each one is beautiful”

At Salwan, our endeavour is to provide an inclusive and an enabling environment to all children with varied needs. We firmly believe that each and every child has the ability to learn and maximize his/her potential through appropriate learning opportunities. The Special Education Programme of the school offers individualized remediation and assistance at the Learning Centre set up in the school. The parents are duly involved in this special learning process of their child.
