The House System and its Objectives

Salwan Public School house system is a traditional and effective way to enhance student engagement and foster a sense of community. This system helps nurture the spirit of camaraderie, solidarity, competitiveness, leadership, teamwork, zeal and enthusiasm among students.
Each student from Class I to XII is assigned to a house, ensuring diversity and inclusivity at every turn, and is gradually introduced to the ethos of the institution, that are instilled in each Salwanian to become true global ambassadors of the future.
The Houses are as follows:
EMPATHY
Represented by the colour BLUE, signifies trust and loyalty in human relationships and helps one feel valued, loved, and cared for.
VALOUR
Embodied by the colour Orange, demonstrates a special human quality of extraordinary and unselfish deeds in the face of great peril.
HUMILITY
The colour of Peace, White helps to be more open to learning, being helpful and forgiving.
INTEGRITY
Represented by the colour Pink, signifies morals and ethics, inspiring to engage only in righteous actions.
RESILIENCE
Epitomised by the colour RED, signifies energy and the power to take action, adapt to change, and overcome obstacles.
HARMONY
Showcased by the colour of optimism and health, Green promises growth, progress, fulfilment, happiness and survival of both the individual and the larger community.

Through the House System, students learn the importance of empathy, courage to stand for what is right, humility to accept their strengths and weaknesses, integrity to uphold moral principles, resilience to face challenges, and harmony to work together towards common goals.
Each House is led by a Senior Prefect followed by a team comprising a Prefect and Marshals, who play a pivotal role in upholding discipline within the school and orchestrating a variety of in-house events and special assemblies.
