Dr. Shilpa Raghuvanshi Chauhan, PGT Biotechnology, has earned national recognition for her innovative teaching pedagogy, “Genetics for Gen Z,” as part of NCERT’s “Promoting Innovative Practices and Experiments in Education for Schools and Teacher Education Institutions” programme. The award ceremony was held on July 25-26, 2024.
Out of numerous nationwide entries, 42 innovative practices were selected after a thorough evaluation at the Regional Institute of Education and NCERT, with 12 from School Education and 30 from Teacher Education Institutions. Each national winner was awarded a seed money grant of Rs. 10,000. Dr. Shilpa’s pedagogy, which features four in-house designed games that simplify abstract genetics concepts, involved around 200 students from our school. This prestigious accolade highlights her exceptional contribution to innovative teaching practices.
