National Academy of Direct Taxes, in collaboration with Salwan Education Trust, successfully hosted the prestigious National Level inter-school competition, “Desh Aur Hum 2.0,” aimed at promoting tax awareness and active participation of citizens in nation-building.
The event commenced with an invocation song by the talented students of Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar, followed by an enthralling dance performance by the students from Salwan Public School, Gurugram.
More than 150 schools from 11 different states across India enthusiastically participated in the competition, showcasing their talent and creativity in eight distinct categories. The competitions included- Voice of Art: Poster Making, Eternal Graffiti: Billboard Designing, Reverberate: Jingle Making, Voice of India on Air, Creative Musings: Poetry Recitation, Game-a-thon: Game Development, From The Stroke Of My Pen: Essay Writing, and Aghaaz: Nukkad Natak (street play) competition. The event received an overwhelming response with over 500 entries, each reverberating with students’ dedication and enthusiasm.
The event culminated in a grand felicitation ceremony held at the prestigious Kedarnath Sahni Auditorium, Ajmeri Gate, on August 4th, 2023. Over 70 schools graced the occasion, witnessing more than a hundred students being honoured for their outstanding performances. The winning schools were given the opportunity to showcase their talent with live performances before the esteemed audience.
Distinguished personalities such as Shri Madhukar Kumar Bhagat, ADG NADT, and Shri Sushil Salwan, Chairman of Salwan Education Trust, addressed the students, imparting valuable insights and sensitising them to the crucial role they play in nation-building.
Among the successful participants, Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar, shone brightly in multiple events conducted under the aegis of NADT and SET. The talented duo, Vishika and Dhanvi from Class VII-G, bagged the second position in the highly competitive Game-a-thon event.
The event not only fostered healthy competition but also instilled a sense of responsibility and awareness among the young minds about their role as responsible citizens in shaping the nation’s future.
