The students of Class VI visited the National Gandhi Museum and Library on 19th October 2022 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation.
The museum and library situated at Rajghat gave an opportunity to the students to understand and inculcate the values of Gandhiji. The diverse galleries enabled students to reflect and comprehend the contributions of Mahatma in India’s freedom struggle.
The Tree of Honesty and Truth and Children’s Gallery were the central attractions of the museum. This enabled students to walk back in time and understand Gandhiji’s life , ideology and importance of khadi. Students could also understand the essence of khadi and significance of ‘Make in India Campaign’ and how to make it a reality as citizens of tomorrow. The photo gallery hosts all major movements led by Gandhiji in India and Africa.
The extensive library has several journals, documentaries and books written by foreign authors on Gandhi.
Students were delighted to see the commemorative stamp issued by the Post and Telegraph Department on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and 75th year of Salwan Education Trust.
