Diwali, the festival of lights symbolizing the victory of inner light over spiritual darkness and festivities was celebrated with gaiety and fervour in the senior wing of the school.
Taking inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi’s ideologies about mindful and conscious consumption and the Sustainable Development Goals 2033, the students of the school participated in a Donation Drive.
The concept of this ‘Donation Drive’ was to inculcate values of giving, sharing, and, inculcating Community Service amongst young learners. Students contributed wholeheartedly to this noble cause. The proceeds of this drive have been shared with Guru Nanak Sukhshala, Arya Mahila Ashram and Flag Children Foundation. The students themselves visited the three places and interacted with the children and the elders.
A special assembly was also organized for the students of Classes VI-XII where they prayed to the Almighty. They lighted the lamp and sang the aarti. The school band presented a melodious instrumental recital followed by a rhythmic dance performance. The assembly concluded with students being awarded for their commendable participation in various activities.
Multifarious activities had been planned for the students to bring in the Diwali cheer. Students decorated their school with colourful rangolis on mathematical concepts, national integration, and best out of waste. The day ended with the announcement of all the winners of the competitions.
