A National Philatelic Exhibition – Amritpex, was organized at Pragati Maidan from 11th to 15th February’23 by the Department of Posts, as part of the celebrations of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Fifteen Students of Class V visited the exhibition on 13th February, 2023.
Amritpex was an Educational Picnic for students- an exciting opportunity to discover, learn and enjoy. The thought behind this endeavour was to make students fall in love with Philately, which was once considered the king of hobbies. This exhibition aimed to motivate the young generation to discover the beauty of philately and post and to experience the aesthetics and emotions behind stamps, letters, postcards, and other philatelic ancillaries. While attending India’s Largest National Stamp Show, students learnt and enjoyed free workshops, competitions, seminars, cultural activities, performances. There were attractive goodies for each student coming through the school. Students were exposed to an immersive digital experience encompassing Virtual Reality Rooms.
Students participated in the different activities such as:
- Creative writing competition
- Slogan writing competition
- Face painting and tattoo making
- Live Puppet Show
- Post card writing and posting
It was a great opportunity for experiential learning.
