A session titled “Use of AI in Education” was conducted on two occasions—on 27th September 2024 for TGTs and PGTs, and on 30th September 2024 for PRTs, both held in the school library. The session aimed to delve into the role of artificial intelligence in transforming educational practices, enhancing student engagement, and increasing administrative efficiency.
The session began with an introduction to the current landscape of AI technologies used in education. The presenters demonstrated various AI tools and highlighted their applications in personalising learning experiences to better suit individual student needs.
Subsequently, the discussion moved toward addressing the challenges and ethical considerations of integrating AI in the classroom. Emphasis was placed on maintaining a human-centred approach in teaching while leveraging AI tools. Strategies were proposed for training educators to effectively incorporate AI into their instructional practices, ensuring that technology enhances rather than overshadows the teacher-student relationship.
Teachers also participated in an interactive, hands-on session where they explored various AI tools. These practical exercises gave educators firsthand experience in using AI applications, allowing them to understand the potential of AI in simplifying administrative tasks and monitoring student progress.
In conclusion, the sessions underscored the transformative potential of AI in education.
