Salwan Public School hosts the Delegates for International Confederation of Principals (2025)

Salwan Public School proudly hosted a delegation of esteemed educators from around the world as part of the preparations for the International Confederation of Principals (ICP) 2025. Following India’s successful bid to host the event, the school warmly welcomed Ms Sofia Hughes from Argentina, Mr Leendert-Jan Veldhuyzen (VO-raad) from the Netherlands, and Ms. Linda Ann Benwel from South Africa.

During their visit, the delegates were introduced to India’s rich cultural heritage and were given a tour of the school’s scenic campus. They were impressed by the school’s unique public-private partnership model, with Salwan Boys’ Senior Secondary School and Salwan Girls’ Senior Secondary School, established in 1949 and 1950 respectively. This integration exemplifies educational practices, fostering a supportive learning environment and a commitment to excellence.

The delegates also had the opportunity to interact with students and witness innovative STEM-based projects that have gained national and international recognition. The visit also showcased the school’s award-winning teaching practices, including gamified learning activities. A notable feature was the Heritage Panel, a student-led initiative that celebrates India’s cultural diversity through artefacts and indigenous art forms like Warli, Mandala, and Madhubani.

The visit included an engaging aerobic session with teachers. Accompanied by faculty members Ms. Ritu Mehta and Ms. Kriti Arora, the delegates visited Agra, marvelling at the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The visit strengthened global ties and fostered collaboration and cultural exchange between educators from around the world.
