You’ll have a lot more respect for a bird after you try making a nest.

An Online Nest-Making Activity was organized for classes VI-VIII from 7th to 9th July 2021. The resource person, Mr Rakesh Khatri, a renowned environmentalist popularly known as the Sparrow Man of India, taught the art of nest making to the students, using eco-friendly material. The activity was followed by an interactive session concerning our rich biodiversity. The focus was laid on the importance of sparrow conservation and the need to preserve our environment. The session sensitized the students towards the problems faced by little birds in the urban areas. It also helped them form a bond with nature and be more compassionate and kind to birds and animals. The workshop also inspired the young learners to contribute their bit in protecting and creating a sustainable environment.
