On 8th October 2024, SPS Rajinder Nagar hosted an informative workshop as part of the KPMG Global Cyber Day initiative, designed to raise awareness about online safety and cybersecurity. Starting at 9:00 AM, the event brought together students, teachers, and staff for an interactive session that emphasised the importance of staying vigilant in the digital world.
The workshop began with a compelling video presentation on cyber scams and phishing attacks, illustrating real-world examples of how individuals can be manipulated into revealing sensitive information. This set the tone for the day, highlighting the urgent need to be aware of common online threats.
One of the most engaging aspects of the session was the interactive MCQ quiz, where participants responded to questions using hand signals. This fun, hands-on approach ensured active involvement from the audience while reinforcing key cybersecurity concepts in an enjoyable way.
The workshop also delved into the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in cybersecurity. While AI offers tools to enhance online protection, participants were reminded of the growing risks posed by AI-driven cyber threats, underscoring the need for ongoing caution and awareness.
The event concluded with a strong call to action, encouraging students and staff to apply these cybersecurity practices in their own lives and share them with their families.
Overall, the workshop provided valuable insights into navigating the digital world safely, equipping attendees with the knowledge to protect their online identities and avoid potential cyber threats.
