Workshop on Creating Quality Assessment Items

The members of the Department of English, Ms. Harmeet Kaur, Ms. Neetu Bhateja, and Ms. Subita Gandhi participated in a workshop on ‘Creating Quality Assessment Item’ at IIC, Lodhi Gardens, on Monday, July 8th, 2024.

The workshop was conducted by eminent ELT expert and trainer, Ms. Ruchi Sengar. The session focused on curriculum goals and the various competencies outlined in the NCF-SE necessary for aligning unit-wise, half-yearly, and Board/Annual Exam assessments.

Ms Sengar also highlighted the significance of different text structures and cognitive levels for designing assessment questions using Bloom’s Taxonomy. This informative session enabled teachers to enhance their skills in crafting diverse, valid, and fair assessment items that accurately measure students’ learning and understanding.
