Teachers’ Day Celebration – Sep 2021

The influence of teachers extends beyond the classroom, well into the future. It is they who shape and enrich the minds of the young, who touch their hearts and souls. It is they who shape a nation’s future.

The School celebrated Teachers’ Day  with great gusto and verve on 4th September, 2021 observing all Covid 19 Protocols. The day commenced with Online Circle Time,  wherein students relived their most cherished moments  with their mentors and  expressed their gratitude towards them. It was followed by a day full of   exhilarating  activities for the teachers in the School Campus  ranging from  Dunk it like Jordan – Basketball, Table Tennis, Musical Chairs, Hurdle Race, Book Balancing Race, Shayari Competition, Painting  your Heart out to Smash and Win. The recorded videos  by the Primary Students and the Student Council  thanking the teachers for their invaluable contribution were icing on the cake and left everyone overwhelmed. 

In the later part of the day, winners of the competitions were felicitated and the role of teachers in shaping the lives of the students was acknowledged. Major General (Retd) Sanjeev Shukla, Director and Ms Priyanka Barara, Principal,  Salwan Public School, in their  address encouraged the teachers to invest in themselves and to keep their happiness quotient high, for happy teachers lead to happy classrooms. They thanked the faculty and staff for their relentless support in these unprecedented times and adapting themselves to the new mode of teaching. Teachers were encouraged to work in collaboration for a higher goal of grooming the future citizens of the world and equipping them with the qualities of head and heart. Ms Jyotsna Grover, Vice Principal, moved the vote of thanks.
