SEWA (Social Empowerment through Work Education and Action) is a CBSE initiative designed to enhance students' mental, emotional, and social well-being. It aims to nurture students holistically, fostering intellectual, personal, social, and emotional growth.
Under the guidance of the Department of English, special assemblies were conducted in the month of April on the topic ‘Global Warming-An Existential Threat to Our Times’. The initiative was taken to create awareness about the 13th of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the UN in 2015 to combat climate change and its impacts. Students from the middle and the senior wing through their theatrical presentations tried to create awareness among the fellow students regarding the prevailing climate crisis and also empower them with the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes needed to act as agents of change. The emphasis was laid on using renewable sources of energy, switching to electric vehicles and minimising plane travel,reducing the usage of plastic and restoring nature to absorb more carbon.
