The school celebrated Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with great zest and fervour on 15th August 2022. The programme commenced with hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Honourable Mr. Justice Anoop Mehndiratta, Judge Delhi High Court, alumnus 1981 batch, along with Shri Sushil Dutt Salwan, Chairman Salwan Education Trust, Major General Sanjeev Shukla, VSM (Retd.), Director Salwan Public School, Smt Priyanka Barara, Principal , Smt Jyotsna Grover, Vice-principal, Smt Rashi Oberoi , Headmistress, Salwan Public School.The Guard of Honour was presented by the NCC Cadets from Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School. A live exhibition was put up by the students of the Host School through tableaus depicting India’s progress in diverse fields over a period of 75 years post Independence. This was followed by a cultural programme that was initiated by the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest. Students from all the campus schools presented motivational patriotic songs and dances with a view to boost the patriotic sentiment in the entire audience.
The Chief Guest in his address expressed his pride and joy on being with his alma mater on this auspicious occasion and lauded the efforts of the students in contributing towards the development of the nation. He also persuaded the students to work zealously and strive hard to take the country ahead on the path of progress.
The programme was attended by several illustrious Alumni which include Dr. Sanjay Manchanda, Flying Officer Aastha Kaur, Ms Gunjan Malhotra, Ms Minni Chopra, Mr.Sudhir Dhingra, Mr. Amitabh Keshav and Ms Dakshita Kapoor, and parents.
