Salwan Public School Rajendra Nagar has taken a significant step towards environmental consciousness by introducing three Aerobins for the conversion of canteen biodegradable waste into compost. The inauguration of these Aerobins was officiated by Sh. Kumar Abhishek, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of MCD, Karol Bagh Zone. Subsequently, an awareness workshop on Solid Waste Management was conducted for both students and teachers by Dr. Radha Goyal, Deputy Director of IPCA. To further emphasise the importance of reducing solid waste through recycling and composting, a street play on segregation and waste management was performed by the school students. The programme concluded with comprehensive orientation and training for the MTS Staff to proficiently operate the Aerobins.
