Salwan Public School, with its rich legacy spanning 70 years, has been a cradle of nurturing future leaders prepared to confront the challenges of the world. The Investiture Ceremony for the Academic Session 2023-24 took place on 19 August 2023, in the School Amphitheatre. The air was charged with enthusiasm as the selected student council members paraded into the assembly. A remarkable facet of the occasion was the presence of three distinguished alumni, Ms. Mallika J Narang, Mr. Mayank Thapar, and Mr. Avneesh Murgai. These illustrious individuals decorated the newly inducted Student Council with ties, in the esteemed presence of Major General (Retd.) Sanjeev Shukla, VSM, Director, SPS; Mrs. Priyanka Barara, Principal, as well as Ms. Jyotsna Grover and Ms. Charu Lal, Vice Principals.
The members of the Student Council took their solemn oath, administered by the outgoing Head Girl, Kanak Sharma. They pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honour and prestige of the institution. The Head Boy, Sarthak Sehgal, and the Head Girl, Advika Gupta, vowed to live up to the school’s expectations and fulfil their responsibilities to the best of their abilities.
During their heartfelt address, our Special Guests expressed gratitude for their alma mater’s invitation, reflecting on their cherished experiences. They took the opportunity to advise the students against complacency, urging them to embrace the spirit of learning during their time in school. Their words resonated as a guiding light, encouraging the students to wholeheartedly embrace the journey of education.
