Desh Aur Hum: 3.0

Empowering an Enlightened and Thriving Indian

The National Academy of Direct Taxes, Regional Campus, Delhi, in partnership with Salwan Education Trust, initiated the third edition of the school tax awareness program, Desh aur Hum: 3.0. This initiative aims to create a ‘Sachet and Samridh Bharat’ by organizing a series of Orientation Programmes across the nation. These programmes are designed to educate young learners about their responsibilities as citizens. On July 27, 2024, Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar, and Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, jointly hosted an Orientation for the Chandigarh zone. The event witnessed participation from approximately 50 schools from the tri-city area.

In his address, Shri Sushil Dutt Salwan, Chairman Salwan Education Trust, stressed the vital role individuals play in nation-building. The keynote speaker, Smt. Seema Dhankar, IRS, Additional Director of Income Tax, NADT, Regional Campus, Delhi, encouraged students to become conscious, participative, and responsible citizens. This event also marked the launch of a series of pan-India competitions, centered on the importance of tax payment in nation-building. These competitions are expected to draw participation from over 500 schools across various states, fostering a deeper understanding of civic duties among students.
