Commonwealth Connections International Exchange Programme
Mr Joseph Junkere an actor, theatre maker and facilitator working in London visited our school on 28th July 2022 to train our students for the musical performance ‘Wicked’ under the Commonwealth Connections International Exchange Programme. The students enthusiastically attended the workshop cum training session and benefitted from the insights being shared from Ambassador Theatre Group West End Programme, UK. We are proud to share that Mr Junkere visited the school under the British Council Partnership Project and our school is one of the 7 schools that has been selected to be a part of the Commonwealth Project.
Through our engagement with the Commonwealth Connections Programme so far, the students of the school have learnt about the institutional architecture, and school ethos of the partner school. They have also collaborated on the theme of climate change and sustainability as enshrined in the Commonwealth Charter. The students were also engaged in Queens Baton Relay activity, where they wrote letters to the Commonwealth. Since the programme largely revolves around exchanges in the Co-scholastic realm; there have been exchanges in the following domains: Sports, Art, and Dance.
It has been an enriching and invigorating partnership and we look forward to a long and fruitful engagement.
