Celebrating the Spirit of Secularism

Salwan Education Trust stepped into another phase to revere the secular spirit of India as all the schools at the Rajendra Nagar campus along with Salwan Junior Public School came together to celebrate ‘Ibadat-e-Ramadan’ in the Salwan School Grounds on 4th July, 2016. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr Syed Asif Ibrahim, an Indian diplomat, the Former Director of the Intelligence Bureau and an eminent Islamic scholar. The other distinguished guests present on the occasion were Mr. Noor Muhummad Ansari, Retd IRS, Imam Mufti Mukkaram Ahmed, religious and literary scholar, Imam and Khateeb (Prayer Leader and Main Speaker) of Shahi Masjid, Fatehpuri, India’s second largest mosque. In his address, Mr. Ibrahim expounded the meaning of the prayer and the rendition ‘Dastan Goi’ reiterating that humanity is supreme and every religion teaches the same values.
